Not at all. Many runners come to us proactively — to prevent injuries before they happen, improve their efficiency, or prepare for an upcoming race. You don't need to be in pain to benefit from understanding how your body moves.
Sessions typically last about 60 minutes. That gives us enough time to properly evaluate your movement, review video footage together, explain what we're seeing, and give you a set of actionable takeaways before you leave.
No. We don't force one-size-fits-all form changes. Every recommendation is based on what makes sense for your body, your goals, and your training history. Small, targeted adjustments almost always outperform wholesale form overhauls.
Absolutely not. Runners of every level benefit from understanding how their body works. In fact, newer runners often see the biggest gains because they haven't yet built compensatory movement patterns that are harder to unwind.
All gait analysis sessions are held in person in Dublin, CA. We do not currently offer gait analysis remotely — the video analysis and movement evaluation require Coach Francisco to be present with you.
Wear your normal running gear — the shoes you train in, your usual shorts or tights. Bring any orthotics or insoles you use. The more your session mirrors your actual running conditions, the more useful the analysis will be.
